I used to have an HDRUX7. i am totally against DVD media now. They have data write failures.
Tape made more sense this time around. Higher bit rates was looking better to me.
The camera itself is just any old Sony cam. Everything is in the same place. The only issues i have so far with it is the manual roller. the assignable dial. with the LCD screen open its hard to navigate to the dial if you are looking down the top for a worms eye view shot, like for instance on a mini tripod.
The viewer on the back just comes straight out and doesn't angle up like a viewer should.
Dont pay over 0 for the camera. The cam is very sensitive to sunlight. the casing heats up terribly and cause auto focus issues.
